About Wade Capps
I live in the Bourbon capital of the world, Louisville, Kentucky with my beautiful wife and two children. When not at work, I enjoy playing guitar, designing video games, junkin' at thrift stores, carpentry, camping, traveling, and having adventures with my family.
I’ve spent the last 20+ years leading marketing, branding, and communications initiatives in fast-paced media environments where audience trust, clear messaging, and community connection matter every day. My career has taken me through leadership roles with companies like Gray Media, Scripps Media, and Sinclair Broadcast Group, where I’ve helped build brands, lead creative teams, develop integrated marketing campaigns, and guide strategic communications across television, digital, social, and community platforms.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with executive leadership, sales teams, content creators, and community partners to develop messaging that connects with audiences in meaningful ways. I’ve led everything from large-scale promotional campaigns and brand strategy to event planning, public outreach, sponsorship activations, and revenue-focused marketing initiatives. What I enjoy most is finding the balance between strategy and creativity — turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories that people actually engage with.
I’m known for being collaborative, adaptable, and calm under pressure, especially in high-visibility environments where priorities shift quickly. Whether leading a creative team, managing cross-platform campaigns, or helping organizations strengthen their public presence, I bring a practical, people-focused approach to communication and leadership.
Music has long been a passion for me. I co-founded the band The East & The Crow in Corpus Christi, Texas. The band has toured around Texas including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and everywhere in between. But perhaps the most memorable stop was playing Luckenbach on the same stage once played by Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Pat Green and more.
